What am I doing you ask...

Was tired of this old picket fence just leaning
on the shed, so I put in a few posts AND
a new garden is born...

Decorating the window at me and my
daughters shop
check her out on Facebook..
Candle Shed Effect

Rearranging a vignette at the shop...

Raising bees.again...
decided I needed another hobby,
like I have time for another one...lol

Green beans and more green beans...
and yes I'm still picking...

I trapped a feral kitteh that was living
in our basement at the store...
her name is Doobie and she is just the sweetest
lil' thing and totally tame now...

 Garden, garden, garden...

AND...I'm opening a new store next to my
daughters store. The boxing club is moving
out and the landlord asked me if I wanted it...
hell yeah, I didn't want to retire anyway.
The store will be called The Wild Thing and
you can follow us on Facebook as well...
we are having too much fun!
The Wild Thing
So yes, been a busy gal, but I love my life
and will be 65 next month, yup, it's only a number...

An update...normal...???

Just the sweetest lil' country front porch,
beckoning to come on in for a spell...

Bits n pieces of a granny's house
fill your senses with calm and quiet memories...

then the eyebrows raise ever so slightly...

as the visual feast meanders 'round...

the view from my workspace is a pleasure
I endure every morning, pondering the next
treasure to be added to my eccentric world...

the world of an artist, entrepreneur, antique picker
and all around American NUT...yup!

Step into my parlor...

Time to bring the shrubbery inside...
I love the look it gives and the
scent of greenery...the outdoors inside.

 Love the vintage macrame...
makes me a hippie again...

 Peace and harmony...

 Am addicted to display...

 and creepy babies...

and shadows on a stairwell...
aren't you...

Decrepit...

Totally love this old buffet I found the
other day...can I keep it...
this is totally the look I swoon over
for my pink shack...

Well, I have the perfect spot for it
and it has great bones to construct
the look I want, the den of the
naturalist, with the spoils of Nature
all about.

It's the perfect match for display of my relics
of my skulls and oddities...

Every time I hike out to my acreage,
I scavenge old bones n skulls,
perfectly displayed in the silverware drawer.

I've taken so many of my pieces to the new
store to fill spaces, but now that the shop is full,
I will bring the strays home,
like this library table, until
such a time that they will need to move on...
but that's half the fun of it...and right now,
this is the way it is.

Just because I live in a pink house...

It doesn't mean everything is all
pink and frilly inside...

Thar be skulls n lace n tattered old things...

I paint my furniture flat black so it has
a dusty, ancient feel to it...but...
that doesn't mean it doesn't have dust...
I mean ambiance!

I play around with textures n paint n woods
'cause tomorrow, any one piece can be for sale.

 IMPERMANENCE...my new mantra...

 Display...is how I roll...

with trusty companion...
and thorn in my side(terrier)
life at the lil' pink shack
is anything but normal...is good???

Where women create...

 Step into me parlor...errrr garage...
my downstairs bedroom has been
converted...I just attached this old
screen door to the grooming room,
to keep the dogs in and my
heathen out...AND it will also
keep the hair from blowing
into the rest of the house...
you have no idea how huge my
dust bunnies are, more like dust yetis!

Step into my parlor, grooming that is...
Scratchy hates this room, but I love
being able to work out of my home.
35 years of driving into the city
to my grooming shop, working from
7:30 to 6:00 every day M-F
took it's tole on my sanity.
I just downsized the grooming nook
with a precut counter top attached
to an old desk, drawers are perfect
to hold blades, scissors n stuff, keeping
table clear for four wiggly paws.

I love the crates, easy to clean out,
just throw in the tub and bleach.
Scratchy's condo is the gray one...

I'm in the middle of organizing
this space, this is the interior
garage where I work when it starts
to freeze outside...you have no
idea what fun stuff comes outta this
space...heh heh...notice
taxidermy supplies on bottom shelf...
this is also where I paint furniture
in the winter...you have no idea how
many pieces have rolled outta
this room. I have a ramp on my
front porch making it uber easy
to load and unload.

This used to be my grooming table,
but now it makes a perfect space
to repair frames, make birdhouses,
body part wind chimes and
"Cracked in the Head" nightlights...
yes, this is the ugly truth, yes it looks a
mess, but I know where all my
supplies are, screws, washers, clamps...
it's all in 'the parlor'...
Doggy Style and The Wild Thing,
the in house sweatshop....
let's not go to the kitchen.
I'll do that next week after I cover
everything with soap molds...
more orders to fill,
sigh...

Go fish...would U, could U...

 Again, I'm pushing the limits,
I'm cozying things up for winter.
I wanted a small table to work
on jewelry in my living room, I
found this lil' drop leaf desk,
just perfect for this lil' nook...

then I found this really cool minnow
sane and draped it in the stair well,
it fits with the fish theme up the stairs...

I love old statues of women, they're
great to hang necklaces from...

but when it all boils down...
I heart strange, over the top
and on the edge...
are there any other brave souls out there?
